I went to the United Nations head quarters but unless you go on a tour you can’t actually see anything worth seeing. The next tour was in a couple of hours and I’m not a fan of waiting so gave it a miss. My room mate waited around for it and was quite disappointed so I’m definitely glad I didn’t wait.

One of the ‘must do’s’ of New York seems to be going up the Empire state building or the Rockafella center. I opted for the Rockafella center. I really didn’t want to pay $20 to go up there but it was definitely worth it. You get shot up the elevator and your ears pop. I got out of the elevator to see the view from a window. It’s amazing. The pictures don’t do the experience justice. I stayed there as it was getting dark and that was a completely different but equally brilliant view.

I finally went back after staying up there for what must have been a couple of hours. I’m not sure where the time went.
